World War One Centenary

Wow! We have really enjoyed a great start so far to our centenary celebrations to mark 100 years since the end of WW1.

We have used the film Poppies as a prompt for our writing and done some drama work to study characters emotions. We have also created timelines to show the key events of the war.

Our Amazing Assembly

We performed our harvest class assembly to the whole school and our parents this morning. Everyone loved it because it was absolutely fantastic! Everyone remembered their parts and our singing was brilliant! A big thank you to the parents who joined in – you were very brave!! Here are a few snaps…

Welcome to Year 5

We have had a fantastic start to the year in Year 5!

We have already done our first session of forest schools, learnt how to count in powers of 10 and written a character description based on our class book Arthur High King of Britain. We have started learning about the Anglo-Saxons and learnt some routines for dance through the decades. What a busy start to the term!
