Well we have made it to yet another half term! The weeks and months are flying by now and I can’t believe we are half way through the school year. I am so incredibly proud of how much you have achieved so far, keep up the good work team Lostock.
Year 6 loved the pepper pot challenge today. What was needed to be successful when playing this game?
A fantastic start to 2018 with a great music session. We learnt new vocabulary and tried hard to play a beat using tap sticks.

What was your favourite day and why? I have had a fab time celebrating with my family and friends.
We have a busy year coming up but it will all be worth it. As we say in class, ‘dig deep’ and ‘dream big’.
Year 6 have really enjoyed learning how to look after and fix their bikes. They also enjoyed a bike ride this afternoon. We are looking forward to the 2 days in summer term to learn more.
What did you learn today?
Year 6 have learnt life saving skills today during a 2 hour training session led by the fire service. They have learnt how to perform CPR, what to do if someone is choking, what to do if someone is bleeding heavily and also how to put someone in the recovery position.
A fantastic session which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
A huge well done to Kiishan and Aisha for reading their amazing war poems out to the whole school during our Remembrance Day parade.
Year 6 have loved their first hockey session today. We learnt about equipment control and how to pass effectively to partner.
What is the correct stance?
Year 6 had so much fun at Skipton Castle today. They learnt all about the history of the Castle and they looked in every room. They mostly enjoyed the dungeons!
