A chilly morning in the forest for Year 3!
Our Visitor Map
We had a great first day at forest school this week! We made our own Stone Age cave paintings out of mud, as well as making our own paint brushes!!! We also made mini Stonehenge and our own story stones! It was really fun!
Year 5 have had a great morning in our forest.
They have been making authentic Anglo-Saxon stew and cooking bread over the fire as well as building their own shelters.
We have loved our forest schools this half term and are very sad it has come to an end already! Year 3 are up next watch this space for their activities!
Y5 came down to forest last week for their very first Forest School session! We are now officially a Forest School!
We learned about the rules, searched for hazards and then explored our environment. We had great fun on the tyre swing and ropes course.
Next week are using tools….. watch this space!
This week:we lit a fire; toasted marshmallows; made and ate s’mores; made a tree cookie, went on a bug hunt and invented our own throwing games! We had great fun. Why don’t you come and join us next week, bring your wellies!
Today was our first Eco club of the year, we had our first camp fire where we toasted marshmallows and made schmores. Look at all the fun we had…
Tonight at Eco-club we made our very own 5 star worm hotels, we thought about where we usually find worms and then tried to recreate that in a jar.
The Warriors used layers of sand and soil to fill their jars and then we went worm collecting. It took us a while but eventually we found a lovely damp place underneath a planting table where there were lots of worms.
We popped the worms into our hotels and then topped them off with food scraps and old tea leaves. Yum yum, a tasty treat for our little friends.
Over the next few weeks we will keep an eye on our worm hotels to see what happens. What do you think we will find?
